What is the Como Ride?

Como Ride is a ride and retreat for people who love Jesus and enjoy riding motorcycles.  There are three main purposes for the ride: 1) It is a fund raiser for Camp Como.  Donations go toward helping to pay down the debt of the camp.  2) It is a time of spiritual refreshing and fellowship for the riders.  3) Two of the days are mostly spent riding around the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

What is Asked of Those Riding?

  1. Bring a donation to help with the cost of the retreat and to pay down the debt of the camp.  If you can, get others to contribute to your ride.  Don’t be afraid to ask for donations.  Many are willing to help if just asked.

  2. Come ready to seek God in some of His most beautiful creation.

  3. Bring some other riders with you.  Get the word out.  Spouses are welcome to ride along or drive up.  We take a chase vehicle with trailer from Lamar if they want to ride in the suburban.

What to Bring: (We will sleep and eat at the camp)

  1. Your own bedding (sleeping bags or blankets; pillows, etc.); there is electricity in the rooms.

  2. Toiletries

  3. Bible, notebook, board games or cards you enjoy playing.

  4. Typical riding gear - you will probably get rained on at some point.

Our group will leave from Lamar Christian Church on Thursday, August 13th at 9:00am, but if you are from another area, you are welcome to meet us at Camp Como mid to late afternoon.  If you can only come for part of the weekend, that is okay too.  Join us when you can or leave when you need to.
