Casas por Cristo Mission Trip 2018
This trip is limited to current middle school students (7th-8th grades) through adults. Because this is such a labor intensive trip, children younger than 7th grade will not be able to attend.
A Casas por Cristo mission trip is an opportunity for people of all skill levels, and backgrounds to come together to build a home for a family in need. No prior building experience is necessary to work on a team – just a desire to serve the Lord and the people of México.
The dates for our trip are March 12-17, 2018. That lines up with the spring break schedule for many of the area schools.
We will leave Lamar and head down to El Paso, TX where we will stay the night. We will then cross the border to Juarez the following morning and stay there through the entirety of our build. After the build is complete, we will cross the border back into the U.S. and stay the night in El Paso again, heading back to Lamar the following morning.
The purpose of this trip is to build a house for a family in need, but more importantly it is an opportunity to share the love of Christ to a family in Mexico. While building the house, we will have direct contact with the family that we are building for. Many of these families don't know Christ, so it is a great opportunity to be a witness to them. We will also be working with area pastors and missionaries, partnering with them to share the love of Christ in Juarez.
